Podiatry and Back Pain

If you have lower back pain, or knee, ankle and foot pain, then it's possible that it is caused by poor foot function. Our podiatrists use sophisticated analysis to determine if your gait (the way your feet work as you walk and run) is causing the problem.

Our feet carry us the equivalent of five times around the earth in an average lifetime. Therefore, we must give them the attention they deserve and not hide them in shoes until they rebel.

Podiatry assesses and corrects problems arising from the biomechanical function of the feet. Our podiatrist's analyses the mechanical movement of the feet and when necessary, this may include examining the way you walk using a state-of-the-art foot pressure analysis.

Incorrect alignment of the bones of the foot can result in non-specific back, hip, knee and ankle pain. These tests allow the podiatrist to make an accurate diagnosis and then implement a variety of treatment regimes specifically tailored towards improving the structure and function of the lower limb.
